3 Idiots 27-Dec-2009

Watched the much awaited movie of the year 2009 yesterday, undoubtedly it was the best! Had watched a number of movies before this.. Luck, Love Aaj Kal, London Dreams.. All of them were *BAD*, Rocket Singh was OK, keeping in mind that there was something different on screen rather than same old stories portrayed in a different way. I did watch a Kannada movie, Manasaare, It turned out to be better than what I had expected.

Aamir Khan is trying his best to convey some message to his audience. It started with "Taare Zamin Par" and it continues with 3 idiots (I don't know how much of it is actually taken from the book '5 point someone' and how much Aamir has contributed to the script, because i have not read the book yet), It gives a very good picture of education system in our country. There is so much emphasis on marks that we really don't know what we are studying.

Most of the engineering students would have loved the movie. It brings back all the good old memories, we will start a 1 to 1 mapping of characters like 'Chatur Ramalingam' from the movie to the ones in our class . Above all, it was very nice watching one of our classmate from BMSCE act in the movie!! Me and Abhishek were shouting whenever we saw Arjun Kamath on screen. Hope he does will in the field he has chosen, wishing him all the very best .

I would rate this movie 7/10 (-2 for the "All izz well" Delivery of the baby - I never expected that from Aamir khan). A must watch.
